          The Deadly Flu was discovered in 1918.
    (b)  When was the COVID-19 discovered?
          The COVID-19 was discovered in December 2019.
2.  What is a pandemic? Explain. 
     An outbreak of disease across a country, a continent, or the world immune
    system.
3. (a)  How many people worldwide have died from the Deadly Flu?
           At least 50 million people have died from the Deadly Flu.
    (b)  How many people worldwide have died from the COVID-19?
           290K people in the world have died from the COVID-19.
4. (a)  How many people in New Zealand have died from the Deadly Flu?
          Over 100 people in New Zealand have died from the Deadly Flu.
     (b)  How many people in New Zealand have died from the COVID-19?
            Our latest news was that 21 people have died from the COVID-19 in New
      Zealand.
5. (a)  List 4(four) facts  why the Deadly Flu spread so fast?
  • People don't wash their hands
  • They cough on their hands
  • Their not washing their hands with soap
  • When people are sick they stand next to another person and they get sick too

  • People aren't covering their mouth when they cough
  • People are not washing their hands
  • People cough on their hands instead of their elbow.
  • When people touch things and other people touch it, it also spreads germs.

     The correct word for flu is Influenza.

      Many developed serious complications that attacked their lungs, The organs           and processes in the human body fight disease and infection. 

     (b) What are the effects of COVID-19?
  • You have to go to the hospital.
  • You lose your sense of smell.
  •  You lose your sense of taste.
  •  You can't breathe because your lungs close up.
  •  The liquid in your lungs gets hard and you cannot breathe.
