Let It Rain

Acid Rain (a made up story)

One day I opened my door and I saw trees blowing and wind. I saw heavy rain and a grey dark sky. I was scared. I also saw the trees falling down. It was so strong then I closed my door and I saw people running into there houses. It was so foggy and I couldn't  see anything. It was black grey sky and I looked like it was grey. I went to my bed and i fell to sleep and in the morning it was sunny and a bright day.

There was once a man named Mitai who lived with his seven brothers. Mitai was the youngest his brothers were the handsome mans. One day Mitai and his brothers went hunting then they found 7 womans there hair was gold and shining bright. One morning Mitai hid behind his older brother house and he waited and waited and he found six birds. Then he found a seventh fly out of the house. Mitai turned himself into a bird to and followed them and hid behind a tree. And watched them form and they turned into the seven woman 7 women. Mitai was listening what they were saying and they said they will stave their brothers to death.

Bee Informed

1. The word bumblebee means is a compound word (bumble + bee). The word bumble means to hum.

2.  Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds 54 km/h kilometres per hour (km/h)

3. Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 90% percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.

4.  Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do up to 50  times as much work as a normal honeybees

5. The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factors, including the use of toxic pesticide sprays.
