My Amazing Holiday
MY AMAZING HOLIDAY
In the holidays I went to my cousin's 21st birthday she was a girl,
I went with my brothers and my mum and dad. When we got to
the place we said happy birthday to her and gave her a gift it was
perfume she loved the gift. Later I and my brothers got a drink
I had orange juice it was delicious. We all were talking and said
happy birthday to my cousin and sang it, and she blew out her
candles and I ate some, and other people after we at some
dinner and it was delicious, After my auntie (her mum), did
her key and talked about it and it was very interesting. After
people were saying bye and we all left and my cousin's friends
went on a party bus.

Here comes the Garbage Barge

LO: We are learning to determine the author’s purpose.
Authors have many different reasons for writing. For example, an author might write to inform or explain something to the reader about a topic, to persuade someone to think about an idea or convince them to do something, or simply to tell an entertaining story. Sometimes it’s hard to identify the author’s purpose because there might be a little bit of everything in the story.
Authors don’t usually state a purpose, so you need to pay close attention to the details that
are given in the text in order to be able to determine the author’s purpose for writing.
THINK! What was the main reason this story was written? This will be the author’s purpose.
You need to find evidence in the story that would support the author’s purpose. List evidence under the appropriate purpose. Once you have completed this blog it with an explanation of what you have done and the story you have read!
